Abstract

The intersection of conflict resolution strategies and decision sciences presents a multifaceted approach to understanding and mitigating conflict in various contexts. This paper explores the integration of conflict resolution principles with decision-making theories to offer a comprehensive framework for both individual and organizational conflict management. By analyzing key concepts from decision sciences, such as rationality, risk assessment, and preference theory, the study delves into how these can be applied to enhance conflict resolution processes. The paper further discusses the role of negotiation, mediation, and arbitration in shaping effective decision-making under conflictual situations. It highlights the importance of understanding stakeholders' perspectives and the need for transparent communication in conflict resolution. Through case studies and theoretical analysis, the paper concludes that a nuanced understanding of both conflict resolution and decision sciences is crucial for making informed decisions and fostering sustainable outcomes in conflict-prone environments.
